Having spent my entire working life in the outsourced call centre industry, I've seen pretty much everything from the good, the bad and the ugly. I've worked as a consultant for many of the offshore outsourcing companies and 1 thing which troubles me is whether having a business development team working out of India, The Philippines or elsewhere works. I'm personally very against this unless the business development professional working overseas is incredibly good. Remember that this is your shop window; you're selling the idea that you're good at making or receiving phone calls and if the person who is initiating those contacts isn't anything but brilliant, then your shop window is a mess. However, the UK based business development team is expensive in comparison and so it can work for some types of lead generation. I just suggest that you are careful with this.
